ShelterPoint Life Insurance Company, formerly known as The First Rehabilitation Life Insurance Company of America, was founded in 1972 and is based in Great Neck, New York. ShelterPoint offers a portfolio of employee ancillary group insurance products in the United States including term life, medical reimbursement, short-term and long-term disability, dental, vision, hospital indemnity, as well as term life, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. With earned premiums of approximately $82 million, ShelterPoint Life is the largest provider of statutory DBL insurance in New York to over 145,000 business and 1,300,000 insureds.
